How to Create Slide Templates

You can download testimonials from UserEvidence as PowerPoint slides using a custom slide template designed by your team. This makes it easy to create on-brand slides with testimonial content automatically filled in.

How it Works

  1. Share a PowerPoint slide with your Customer Success Manager to use as a template

  2. We add that template to your UserEvidence account

  3. When you download a testimonial as a PPTX, the testimonial details are automatically populated into the slide

Creating Your Slide Template

Start by designing a single-slide PowerPoint (PPTX) that you’d like to use as a template for testimonials.

Your slide can include placeholders (variables) that UserEvidence will replace with testimonial data when the slide is downloaded.

Supported Placeholders

At this time, we support the following variables:

  • %%AUTHOR_COMPANY_HERE%%

  • %%AUTHOR_NAME_HERE%%

  • %%AUTHOR_TITLE_HERE%%

  • %%TESTIMONIAL_HERE%%

  • %%QUESTION_HERE%%

  • %%TITLE_HERE%%

  • %%TITLE_OR_QUESTION_HERE%% (This will display the testimonial title if one exists. If not, it will display the question text instead.)

You can place these variables anywhere on the slide where you want the testimonial content to appear.

Images, headshots, and Logos

Images are not replaced dynamically. This includes:

  • Headshots

  • Customer logos

  • Background images

If your template includes an image, that same image will appear on every downloaded slide.

If you want users to add headshots or logos later, include a clear placeholder image (for example, a silhouette or icon). This makes it obvious that the image should be manually replaced after download. We recommend finalizing these details before submitting your template to avoid rework later.

Downloading Testimonials as a Slide

After your Customer Success Manager adds the template to your account:

  1. Access the Assets tab at the top of the screen

  2. Select a testimonial and click Share

  3. Choose PPTX as the file type

    – You’ll see a preview showing how the testimonial will appear in the slide

  4. Click Download Asset
