Date range
Every tab has its own date range. It starts at the last 30 days, including today. Changing the range on one tab does not change the others.
A day runs from midnight to midnight in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). Activity late in your evening may appear on the next day.
Compared with the previous period
Many cards show a line such as "↑ 12% vs previous period (240)". It compares your selected range with the same number of days just before it. For example, if you pick 1–30 September, the comparison is 2–31 August. The number in brackets is the previous period's total.
If the previous period had no activity, the card says "No prior-period data" instead of a percentage.
Channels
A channel is where an action happened. Examples are Slack, the Asset Library, your Research Library, Salesforce, a Deal Page, Evi or email. Activity we cannot trace to a place is shown as Unknown.
The Overview tab has a Channel filter. Picking one or more channels narrows the cards, the chart and the table to activity from those places. The three "by channel" panels always show every channel, so you can see the full split.
Overview tab
The Overview tab answers two questions. How much is your team sharing your evidence? And how much are buyers engaging with it? You can filter it by date range and by channel.
The three main cards
Card | What the number means | The small print underneath |
Distribution | How many times your team downloaded an asset, copied its share link, or pulled content from it | How many of each: downloads, copies and content pulls, plus the change from the previous period |
Engagement | How many times someone who was not signed in viewed an asset on a buyer-facing page | Views, plus the change from the previous period |
Anon Distribution | Downloads, link copies and content pulls by someone we could not identify | How many of each, plus the change from the previous period |
The content pulls in Distribution include using Slack to fetch a stat, quote or summary from an asset. Right now these requests are recorded without the person's name, so they appear under Anon Distribution.
The four smaller tiles
Tile | What it means |
Active distributors | How many different people on your team took at least one Distribution action. Each person counts once, however many actions they took. |
Total activity | Distribution, Engagement and Anon Distribution added together. It has no previous-period comparison. |
Distribution per active user | Distribution divided by Active distributors. This is the average number of sharing actions per person who shared anything. |
Research Library visits | How many times your public Research Library page was loaded, on its own or embedded in your website. Hover over the tile for the split between the two. These visits are separate from the three main cards. They capture buyers who browse without opening a specific asset. |
Activity over time
This chart shows Distribution, Engagement and Anon Distribution across your date range. For ranges of about two weeks or less, each point is one day. For longer ranges, each point is one week, starting on Monday. The first and last weeks may be partial, so they can look lower than the weeks in between.
By channel panels
Three panels split each main card by where the activity happened. Each bar shows a count and its share of that card's total. These panels always include every channel, even when the Channel filter is set, so you can see the full picture.
A channel called Seismic in the Distribution panel means reps sharing your content from inside Seismic. Sending an asset from UserEvidence into Seismic is not counted.
Top performing content
This table lists your 10 assets with the most Distribution in the selected range. Each row shows the asset's Distribution, Engagement and Anon Distribution, and when it was last used. If more assets had activity, the table says "Showing top 10 of N". Click a row to see that asset's details.
Asset details
Clicking an asset in Top performing content opens a panel about that one asset. The first three sections follow the Overview's date range and Channel filter. The last section does not.
Section | What it shows |
Activity Breakdown | The asset's downloads, share link copies, external views and content pulls, with each as a share of the total. Your team's actions and unidentified actions are added together here. |
Top Distributors | The five people on your team who shared this asset most, and each person's share of all sharing of it. "Top 5 of N" tells you how many people shared it in total. |
Usage by Channel | Where this asset was used: Slack, the Asset Library, your Research Library, and so on. It covers sharing by anyone, plus views by visitors who were not signed in. |
All Time Activity | The five most recent times someone downloaded, copied a link to, or pulled content from this asset, across all time. Each entry shows who did it, where, and how long ago. "Anonymous" means we could not match the action to a named person. |
Search & Discovery tab
This tab shows what people look for in your content, and whether they find it. It combines two ways of searching. One is Search, the search box in the Asset Library and your Research Library. The other is Evi, the assistant people ask questions in plain language. Searches from AI tools connected to UserEvidence, such as Claude, are included too.
The four cards
Card | What it means |
Total queries | Searches plus Evi questions in the period, with the split between the two underneath. Changing the words of a search you already ran is not counted again. |
Unique searchers | How many different people ran at least one search or asked Evi at least one question. |
Zero-result rate | Of the queries that got an answer back, the share that came back empty. The line underneath shows how many queries got an answer. That number can be smaller than Total queries, because people sometimes leave before results arrive. |
Click-through rate | The share of queries where the person clicked at least one result during the same visit. Queries from connected AI tools are left out, because there is nothing to click. The line underneath shows how many queries were counted. |
Charts and tables
Section | What it shows |
Queries by source | Where queries were run, such as "Asset Library (search)" or "Research Library (Evi)", ranked by volume |
Queries over time | Weekly search volume and Evi volume, with the zero-result rate as a dashed line. Weeks with no answered queries have a gap in the dashed line. |
Top searches / Top Evi queries | The 25 most common queries, with how often each ran, how many people ran it, its click-through rate, and the asset clicked most from its results |
Zero-result queries | The 25 most common queries that returned nothing, where they were run, and when they last appeared |
In the query tables, similar wording is grouped into one row. For example, "ROI", "roi?" and "return on investment" can appear together, listed under the wording used most. Queries shorter than three characters are left out of the top tables.
The zero-result list is a good place to spot content gaps. It shows the subjects people want evidence on that your library does not yet cover.
Recommender tab
This tab shows the proof recommendations UserEvidence sent to your reps, and whether the reps used them. When the Proof push tab is turned on for your account, it replaces this tab.
Card | What it means |
Recommendations Generated | How many proof recommendations were sent to reps in the period |
Rep Interaction Rate | Of the recommendations sent in the period, the share where the rep viewed, downloaded or copied a link to at least one recommended asset during the same period. It counts the rep only, not the prospects they forwarded it to. Activity on recommendations sent before the period starts is not included. |
Total Asset Interactions | Every time a rep viewed, downloaded or copied a link to a recommended asset in the period, whenever the recommendation was sent. This includes reps opening the proof from Salesforce. Because it counts every action, it is not the number behind the rate. |
Recommendations table
The table lists up to 100 recommendations sent in the period, newest first.
Column | Meaning |
Date | When the recommendation was sent |
Rep | The rep it was sent to |
Context | What prompted it: a Gong call (the company and the call title) or a Salesforce opportunity |
Assets | How many assets were recommended |
Rep Interaction | Whether the rep used any of them during the period |
Proof push tab
This tab follows each proof recommendation delivered in your date range. It shows how far each one travelled: from the rep, to the rep sharing it, to a buyer reading it.
Setup
The line at the top says where your proof is pushed from: Gong calls, Salesforce opportunities, both, or neither. If it says "No push sources connected", no recommendations will be created, and the rest of the tab will be empty.
Push funnel
The funnel counts recommendations, not clicks. Every stage includes only recommendations delivered in your date range. Later activity on them still counts, even if it happens after the range ends. Each stage also shows what share of the stage before it made it through.
Stage | Side | What it means |
Surfaced | Rep | The recommendation was delivered to a rep |
Rep opened | Rep | The rep opened their deal page showing the recommended proof |
Distributed | Rep | The rep created a one-pager and copied its share link to send to a buyer |
Buyer opened | Buyer | A buyer opened the one-pager. "N buyers reached" counts different buyers, and each buyer counts once. |
Each stage is a subset of the one before it, so a later stage can never be larger than an earlier one. A rep opening their deal page shows the rep is using the tool. It does not mean a buyer has seen anything. The buyer stage only counts proof sent as a one-pager link. Files sent as attachments cannot be seen here.
Rep response
This table has one row per rep. It shows how many recommendations each rep received (Surfaced), opened, and shared (Distributed). Rate is the share of their recommendations they shared. By default the table is sorted by Rate, so the reps who act on proof most are at the top.
Surfaced proof by deal
This table lists up to 100 delivered recommendations, newest first.
Column | Meaning |
Date | When it was delivered |
Rep | The rep it was delivered to |
Deal | The company, and the opportunity name when it came from your CRM |
Assets | How many assets it contained |
Shared | Whether the rep sent a one-pager link |
Buyers | How many different buyers opened it. The column shows a dash when the rep never shared it. |
Common questions
Why don't the by channel panels match the cards when I use the Channel filter? The panels always show every channel, and the cards follow your filter. Clear the filter and each panel adds up to its card.
Why don't Search & Discovery or Recommender numbers change with the Channel filter? Only the Overview tab has a Channel filter. Each other tab has just its own date range.
Are my own admins and marketers counted? Yes. Anyone signed in to your account counts as your team, including admins and marketing staff. UserEvidence staff who help with your account are left out of the named lists.
Why does a channel say "Unknown"? The action happened somewhere we could not identify. This happens with older activity, or with links shared without a source attached.
Why is Research Library visits not part of Total activity? It counts page loads of your library, not actions on a specific asset. It is kept separate so the same visit is not counted twice.
Why is a percentage missing? A percentage needs something to compare with. If there was no activity to measure, you will see "No prior-period data" or a dash (—) instead of 0%.
I used the earlier version of this page. Where did "Total Engagements" go? The earlier page put all activity into one number, including share link clicks. This page splits that into Distribution, Engagement and Anon Distribution, so you can tell who acted. It also stops counting link clicks, which automatic email scanners inflate. For that reason, new numbers will not match old ones exactly, even for the same dates.
